Adaptive growth

(2016/18) series of photographs

According to Einstein’s theory of relativity, time and space are related. However, French philosopher Henri Bergson (1859-1941) had a whole different approach to the theory of relativity. According to his studies, scientists take the wrong conclusions: ‘time’ may be related to ‘space’ in the world of mathematics, in the real world however, time does not exist. Time actually means duration, it is memory. It can only be where there is consciousness. Time is a human thing.

Nature knows no time. One action does not necessarily happen after the other, as things do in space, like in a room, where the second meter always comes after the first and before the third.

When you look at photographs as frozen moments in time, and you place them over each other, like crossing timelines or dimensions, they merge and new images, new perceptions, new possibilities, new worlds appear.

Adaptives Wachstum
